[movie] The Bounty Hunter

Starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerad Butler, this comedy really gave me and dearie a break away from our hard day of work...
=)

The movie plot was simple and lame; yet catchy.
As usual, we got our favourite director's seats but this time round @Suntec.. I wished I could discribe more about the storyline, but nevertheless, I am really tired and I do not know what to describe..
=_=ll
I could only say its really a nice comedy for couples...
perhaps i shall edit this post tomorrow.

yuki yaki @Marina Square

Nothing beats a sumptuous dinner and food food and nothing but food after a long hard and frustrated day at work! That was just what dearie and I thought about the other day after work since we were both so pissed and cropped up with work... Initially we decided to just drop there --> "Marina Square" since we haven't been visiting there for quite sometime to catch toys but eventually, we sneaked around and decided to dine there...

Yuki Yaki DIY Restaurant (located just beside infamous kbox)

Honestly, I hate barbeques!!! I seriously disliked going to such "self-cooking" restaurant because firstly I do not know how to cook, secondly I hate and am very lazy to cook (especially when after a tired day out at work), thirdly I do not know how to cook - I've always got problems if I attend BBQ buffets; steamboats etc etc because I seriously cannot gauge whether my food is cooked enough to be eaten or not, fourthly I hate to have smoke in my hair, Fifth I hate to breathe in carbon dioxide (its already crappy to eat lotsa carbon instead of food) and last but not least, I only attend such places depending on whom I am out with.... and haha, dearie suggested so I decided to agree along with him...*winks*

Since both of us were kinda hungry, it was quite a spread as all of you would have guessed...

We've got sushi, barbecued beef, pork and almost any other seafood (despite that dearie didn't consume seafood; well I was the one eating the whole time); boiled scallops etc etc etc and erhem, dearie was the one cooking the whole time after I gave up cooking (or should I say gave up flipping the meats since my hand suffered a small tiny blister after the oil splatted and spilled onto me).

And the stuff which I enjoyed the most was the mushrooms with "dou miao" (a kind of vegetables) cooked by dearie. I was really surprised that his culinary skills were so gooood... Mmmm, really delicious as it happened to be both our all-time favourite dish.

Anyway I also did enjoyed a fair bit after all the cooking and barbecuing when the ice cream time arrived... That was the speciality of Yuki Yaki because you can enjoy making your own ice cream... I chose green tea and dearie chose chocolate, and after that we added on tiramisu and vanilla...

Step 1: Pour the ice-cream mixture into the pan

Step 2: Pour more ice cream mixture

Step 3: Spread Spread; ~Splat Splat~ with the spatula
Step 4: Try to prevent the ice cream from hardening too much ~else you need to scrap hard like him~

Step 5: After a hell lot of effort scrapping

Finally the ice cream starts to break free from below...

That was the most hideous ice cream I have seen in my life! *grins*

Chocolate ice cream's turn

and we even made an art!

Shhh...Shutters...

Weekends have always been eventful; haven't been catching movies lately and the most recent?!
sssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
We caught
Shutter Island

~Welcome to the living nightmare~

That will be what is to be anticipated if you haven't yet caught this super impact thriller yet in the cinemas... A psychotic mystery-thriller directed by top director Martin Scorsesse,  Leonardo DiCapro starred as Teddy Daniels; whom with his partner Chuck (Mark Ruffalo), went to the Ashecliff Hospital for the mentally insane to investigate the disappearance of a woman named Rachael Solondo...

The movie started plain; filmed how isolated Ashecliff Hospital was -  the loneliness, desertion with the tight, impregnable security whereby "Teddy" and partner "Chuck" arrived while the search party for "Rachael Solondo" was carried out. A bad omen - hurricane-typed thunderstorm wrecked the Ashecliff, leaving the two investigators stranded on the island.

Throughout the show, flashbacks of "Teddy" hideous war-ridden pasts showed how he lived through his years of guilt and pain. There were scenes whereby German officials were shot and left to die; showing the crude past of World War II. (Apparently Leo enacted an official who was sent to aid that terrible war!!) Kinda gross parts since blood shed and they really got some very gross scene; not really gross for the eyes, but I would say gross for the mind...Therefore it is definitely not for the faint-hearted...
*****
Nevertheless, throughout the show, you can definitely anticipate yourself cracking your head - trying to figure out who is the good guy and who is the bad guy! A very controversial plot of Scorcesse, it cleverly worked your mind to judge what to expect and anticipate the next scene; whether it was to be the storyline or the character?!

Kind of lengthy for a mystery-thriller I would say; but definitely worthwhile for the "psychological" part to play with your minds... A thumbs up for those detective-mystery thrillers' lovers, the ending would be somehow hard to comprehend yet greatly unexpected.

Shutter Island is considered as another of Scorsesse's best art, much overwhelming than the last mystery "Sherlock Holmes" which I had watched previously last year.

Dinner @Sizzler...

Whoops I did it AGAIN!!!
I haven't been constantly blogging recently because nowadays
my weekdays are JUST AS BUSY AS MY WEEKENDS!

As you all might have guessed... we missed each other so much that we couldn't have waited till the next weekend to meet each other again. -- Just couldn't bear the long dreadful FIVE DAYS before the next weekend arrives... and

FIVE WEEKDAYS
=
 5 X 24 HOURS
=
120 HOURS
=
7200 MINUTES

which is......

432,000 SECONDS!!!

Honestly who the fuck would go and count all that but anyway, meaning to say that I just kinda missed dearie that much any other day...

And I am very very glad that our weekdays spent together are just as great and eventfully-filled simply like any other weekends together.
=)

As the both of us have the need to wake up early the very next morning for our fucked-up jobs, the only thing we usually did was to grab our previous time and dine together...

We went SIZZLERS' @Suntec..

and honestly that was my very first time to the restaurant..
(Pardon me but I'm kinda person whom not so adventurous to try new stuff)
*
but
I am really glad that I tried...

SIZZLERS' served great food; their meat portion is just enough for each share; tender and juicy despite the grilled menu.... and the part which I loved the most since

THEY HAVE A SUPERBLY WONDERFUL SALAD BAR!!!

YESS!!!

At a standard charge per person, you will be entitled to grab anything off the shelves of the salad bar from soups, salads, pasta, yogurt ice cream and all kinds of mushrooms, veggies, fruits etc.etc.etc. (you name it they have it...) I even attached their lunch menu for your reference!!

Dearie ordered their ribs while I ordered their cajun chicken...

Though they just looked like tiny small portions despite coming along with fries/baked potato, trust me! You wouldn't be able to finish any of the sides after filling the "main course" without leftovers! (I only grabbed two spoonful of baked potatoes leaving the whole portion untouched!)

After making our main course orders, we grabbed some spaghetti and salad before we shared the dishes but their orders were really SPEEDY!! All you needed to wait was just awhile (and I really mean it) before the soups were served and
*POOF*
your main dish appeared before you could actually start on your grabbed stuff...
**p/s: they serve really nice butter toast!!
and as usual, how could I ever leave the place without taking a nice picture for remembrance...

~TADA~

*my beloved dearie*

Stop hesitating and try it out with your special someone today...

Sammi Cheng Love Mi Concert 2010 (Actual Day)

The big day finally arrived... Dearie stayed over after watching "Clash of The Titans" the night before the actual day of Sammi's concert. Sadly to say, while we were rushing to dearie's house before we drove to the concert, I forgot to bring along my digital camera.. (T_T) Yeap, after all this planning and all, just because of my forgetfulness, I emo~ed the whole night, pathetically trying to take pictures with my E71... Well anyway, it was my very first concert with dearie and I really wanted to take memorable pictures of the trip.

Anyway, it was really packed and crowded when we arrived at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.. Despite the tickets showed 8:00pm screening, the hall was still crowded with people walking here and there throughout... and gosh.. that was how many people there was... As we were seated in the north wing, dearie took pictures of the east and the west...

I made an escape to the loo before the actual concert started and dearie was waiting for me at the entrance which we decided to camwhore abit...

It was not after at around 8:40 before the lights started to dim and everybody started waving their luminous lighted sticks with all the screams and shouts of "Sammi".

After all the screams, shouts and chanting, finally ~ Here Comes Sammi!!

Sadly to say (as repeated earlier) I did not bring along my camera, so I was unable to grab those fantastic shots, but nevertheless, I decided I shall post whatever that I had got...

Sammi was really a hit! She sang many songs - the new and the old; including english songs... and I seriously feel that the tickets are really worthwhile!!

Time really flew past very fast during the whole concert... Sammi sang 2 encores after the concert but it was really not enough!! 2 hours just flew by like that... =( and it came to an end....

Everybody was rushing outta the stadium and we decided that it was not a good timing to leave because we will be caught in the crowd...

Therefore we took more photos...
