Sammi Cheng Love Mi World Tour

2 More days to countdown to..... April!! It is finally arriving after the long long days of March and I can't hardly wait for Sammi's -  Love Mi world tour to arrive!!

Yeap! Sammi would be performing in Singapore on this coming 2nd April in the Singapore Indoors Stadium. The Concert was very much anticipated by me as Sammi have seemed to disappear from the showbiz for quite sometime. Queen of Canto-Pop, she used to be one of my favourite singers during my secondary school days... From "wild" costumes to "nike"-shaped eyebrows to outrageous techno beats; Sammi had them all... She is also very good at subtle love ballads, and I could still remember her very first album CD "Worthwhile" (zhi de) in mandarin was purchased when I was primary 6 or perhaps secondary 1... (ops... i couldn't remember).

Well, another reason why I would be so excited about her coming to Singapore was because.....

*****"Dearie and I are going to the concert!!!"*****

Dearie had collected the tickets the quite sometime ago when he went to collect Kumar's tixs at the same time... Actually, we had booked the tickets somewhere in early February whereby the launch of the tickets just started. Nevertheless, the response was really overwhelming because by the time we booked the tickets, all the category 1 tickets are all SOLD-OUT!!  Therefore, dearie booked category II tickets to have a better view of the concert...

Hmmm... honestly, I am not those very concert-type of person, therefore I seldom go to concerts... I could still remember the very first and last one which I've been to was Fann Wong's... which was kinda way back in 1999 or 2000.. Therefore, woots!!! I can't hardly wait for April to arrive! I just can't hardly wait for the queen to sing all those lovely ballads and blasting techno beats (~re-living those childhood days whereby we would always sing her songs in kbox~)

nothing else beats this day 2010.03.22 [monday] whereby i'm gonna remember it forever...

All happened because of a tiny little casual remark which i made to dearie over the phone that afternoon... i received a call from chanel - salesperson from MNG that the overall i've placed a reservation for had arrived in stores, and chanel had kept it reserved for a period of 3 days... I was excited and curious because i had been waiting for that piece for quite sometime before it reached the shores of Singapore and therefore called up dearie to ask him to meet me and tag along to MNG after work to preview whether it was nice...

It was quite upsetting because the overall only came in "small" which was apparently too huge for my tiny frame. So as you might have supposed, we gave up on the piece and decided to grab dinner before we headed back home... We were at Shaw's MNG when dearie before dearie decided that he preferred to munch @Mache since we missed the chance to grab the meal de other time we had gathering with bing, darren and wanwan... The only place which catered Marche was Orchard313 which we needed to cross the underpass towards takashimaya before we headed straight pass Orchard Mandarin and shoot up to 313...
*****

We crossed many people as we passed. Nonetheless, preoccupied as we were, alone in our small little world of ours... Haven't had such a feeling ever since my previous relationship... We crossed over to Takashimaya, and I supposed might be fate which actually brought us to Tiffany and Co... I told dearie I wanted to show him the ring, the one which I had mentioned to him the other time when we were thinking of getting what for each other, and we decided to grab a look before we continued our way to 313...

************************
*** we took a glance, hesitated, grabbed a puff outside Takashimaya, we saw the "charlie chaplin" guy still stoned, getting people's attention while he stood still on the bicycle, went back to takashimaya, then headed down to marche...***
************************

It was the second time which I had been to Marche; the very first time was when I was still in SP's year 1... it was really huge, and the ambiance of the restaurant was just fabulous compared to others @orchard313. I still remembered that bad incident I had at this hongkong styled cafe which had terrible staff service located outside Marche the other time I went.

We had a fungus spread...

dearie ordered mushroom soup..

i ordered mushroom raviotti

dearie came back with assorted mushrooms...

and finally dearie decided that we had too much of mushrooms.. thus he got back with a sausage rosti..

Together with 2 rootbeers, we started our fungus cuisine...

(~ahhhh.... mushmush i gotta eat you...~)

(~opps...kena snapped...~)

(wiping off the remains of the mush...)

And that was when dearie made a very lame remark about the signboard...

JUICE
[--PRESSED BY HAND; SQUEEZED BY BUTT--]

Dearie actually made up the 2nd part, which made me laughed all the way...

I was amazed that there was an elevator in Marche... and my baby just wanna squeeze into the picture... =)

We had a great deal of chomp chomp mushrooms before we headed off...

************

As per mentioned in the earlier part of the post... we headed to tiffany's and then to Marche...
 *
*
*
*
*
We stopped outside Orchard313 and grabbed a bench...
*
*
*
*
*

Dearie started to take the tiffany's box out from his bag...
*
*
*

"Give me your hand..." is all he said in a serious tone...

~as he slipped the ring through...

*****

i repeated the very same procedures...
(my face was kinda shagged so i decided not to post)

(baby's hand...)

This was not an engagement... neither was it pre-planned... it was simply a casual peek @tiffany's and another day @orchard, and none of us was anticipating such a time... I was honestly kinda shocked and embarrassed since dearie did it in the middle of orchard; but it was really really sweet, which i definitely would not forget...

beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

20th March 2010 - Saturday night Sunday Morning.. 01:10am

As so the saying goes..."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..."

Last Saturday was a plain and normal weekend for me and dearie; but it was simply nice even though we did not do our usual roaming around shopping malls and neither did we do our usual movie catching... Honestly, actually dearie wanted to catch The Green Zone with his pals, but I was really kinda tired and we had to wake up early to go church the next morning.

Therefore, these two love-bunnies (i prefer to-be-called love-bunnies instead of lovebirds) decided to stay home after the heavy indian meal at The Prata House and beancurd for desert. Kinda bored because we needed to kill some time for our heavy dinner to be digested, I suggested that we should do some beauty therapy, especially when I was faced with so much pimple outbreaks recently...

And so we pampered ourselves...

Aren't we cute? xD Anyway, just a gentle word... " never... (yes I mean never!!!) never do facial mask with your loved one unless you all are used to NOT TALKING!!! Lolz.. its totally terrible, because you all simply can not talk!!!

The worst part was we were watching the Jacky's game show (those kinda taiwanese comedy host by Wu Zhong Xian) and that was sooo funny but we just could not laugh! We tried to talk to each other without opening our mouths too bad but the mask was just a pain... =.= cos we simply just couldn't talk.

Hehe.. despite so, it was really lovely and therefore, we took that picture for a keepsake...

2010.03.12 - Alice In Wonderland 3D

Weekends are really short; but definitely memorable, finally now i get the time to sit down and blog... Have been really really busy recently, whether it have been with my life, relationship or with work. Adventures are ongoing; thus i really need to back-date these few entries which i am going to blog of...

12th March 2010 - friday

I was kinda feeling awkward the other time when I saw the launch of Alice in Wonderland... It had always been one of my favourite walt disney's stories when I was a kid; and mummy had been always reading it when i pushed the book into her hand. And wow, finally like a *poof* twenty-over years later, the story was animated into a 3-D movie though all the characters looked weird.

I still remembered at that time I just plainly loved Alice - the clumsy yet adorable girl (despite the actress looked kinda ugly) therefore, i squeezed some time outta the tight schedule and caught it with dearie in Eng Wah Cinemas @Westmall before the movie ended...

We were kinda hesitating with the 3D effect part since our very first experience (both dearie's and mine) was a very dizzy one we had with Final Destination III (or was it IV awww... I can't remember). But the truth was, gosh..... Eng Wah is superbly AMAZING!!!

For the price of sgd14.00 per ticket, you get very comfy sofa seating; and the 3D spectacles are really much more comfortable than Cathay's stiffy ones... Besides, hmm... honestly i couldn't tell whether it was because Alice in Wonderland really had great graphics or whether it was the magical works of the 3D lenses, the total impact was really COOL!!!!

Hmm... well, unlike Cathay's couple seats or those more spacious kinda seats, westmall's Eng Wah provided real sofas... Yeap, you can ask 4 friends to join together to watch the movie @the sofa seats... yesss... that was how spacious it was... =) Thus, dearie fell asleep.............. even after those action-packed parts whereby Alice was killing the dragon..  =X

Nevertheless, the most memorable character in the movie throughout was nonetheless, the EVIL QUEEEENNN!!!!!!!!!!! Till now, I could still remember her favourite line ~ "off with their heads!!!" xD

I kinda felt like wanna watch the entire movie once more...

Have you watched yours?

R.I.P - a tribute to my ipod...

A very sad bidding a farewell to my dearest, sweetest, followed-me-longest mp3 player...

This tragic citizen of the Ipod Movie family was confirmed and pronounced DEAD on the 06th March 2010. As mentioned in previously in one of my earlier posts, this lovely music-making player (which had been following me since my poly days) sank and drowned in my Longchamps bag somewhere in Marina South site while I was doing site visit with my colleague.

This poor 5-year-old victim named "miyavi" was sleeping peacefully in its GUCCI pouch when it got hit by a wave of nescafe tsunami... Trapped helplessly in the tides of the nescafe, it screamed but its screams never reached its poor owner (me) while it struggled helplessly to stay afloat and alive... The rescue team (me and fellow colleague) came and tried to rescue it with the rest of the fellow victims (my wallet, cardholder, charmy organiser, thumbdrive, makeup pouch etc. etc.) Paramedics tried to recover "miyavi" and it was sent to the hospital (my room) that very night where it struggled to stay alive by opening its eyes (the lighted screen) for 5 seconds when it sank into a deep coma for 3 days...

"miyavi" was finally sent to the I.C.U (ipod service center) last saturday - 06th March since I was off work whereby it was proclaimed dead at the scene when its internal hard disk crashed and battery flat...An operation to recover it was tried by the ipod paramedic to revive its hard disk (the staff asked me to pay $250+ to change its hard disk) but was turned down cruelly by its owner (me) since I could not bear it to suffer anymore... (Haha, that was a joke since it was asking too much for the servicing; I might rather get a brand new ipod).

Its funeral was held that very night in its lovely coffin (my original ipod box) whereby it was buried and will rest in peace forever in my very room...

******

Anyway, a lovely surprise came that very day when its funeral was held...

A lovely present came from dearie...

An ipod nano 5th generation...

Dearie heard about the tragic nascafe tsunami accident that night when it happened and he wanted to give me a special surprise. Therefore he bought the nano without asking for my consent whether I wanted it or not - since he did not want me to suffer the pain of losing music in my life.. He chose black as he thought that was the most unique and nicest color amongst the rest of the colors launched; and he even bought me a magnetic pouch to protect it from scratches...

I was really shocked when he passed me the gift; since I was kinda upset that very night when the incident happened; I did not want to hang on the phone conversation as my mood was really bad. He casually mentioned to me that he would be getting another ipod for me, but I did not think and considered it that much as a passing remark. I still remembered I hung up the phone abruptly after a very short conversation; and was emo with myself that whole night.

He tried to surprise me with the ipod when he passed the ipod to me when we reached Esplanade before the Kumar show so as to lighten up my spirits abit... Dearie was really nice as he even went to Wheelock place with me together after the show to find out whether my ipod movie could be repaired or not. Despite it couldn't, I am really pleased with the nano, and I simply couldn't explain nor describe how touched I was to receive that as a gift!

This new ipod nano 5th generation was really amazingly "slim" and "sleak" and the features are simply intriguing.

Art thumbnails of albums will be shown whenever a song is selected and played; and you can even shuffle and change songs simply by shaking it. When unplugged from the earphones, nano will continue to play music; and you can even listen to fm radio with it. Apart from the artiste/album thumbnail, it also displays your songs collection albums once you placed the ipod sideways...

Besides all this amazing features (which I seriously think of them as amazing!) It comes with a small camera at the back hidden at the bottom left of the ipod - whereby you can actually take short video clips with your ipod! (though it could not take pictures)

Dearie got me the 16gb version of the nano - even though he remarked that this was to be a temporary one since ipod touch was abit pricey. Nevertheless, I feel that it is just enough; sometimes it doesn't need to be the best of the best, because I enjoyed music as what it was, just like the relationship between me and him... we might not be the "perfect~est" for each other, but we loved each other the way we are...

Ever Lovely Weekend...

The Kumar Show "Stripped Bare & Standing Up" was highly anticipated and 06th March finally arrived... Yeap, dearie booked the tickets early beforehand somewhere in february before the tickets are SOLD OUT.

The big day finally arrived (last Saturday) and dearie and I met up at City Hall mrt control since he was not driving... Since I had slept earlier before he smsed me, I was still groggy when he called me early in the morning since I was still happily in my dreamland. He actually planned to meet-up at 1pm but as expected, I was late since I woke up around 11am.

We actually wanted to catch lunch before we entered the auditorium but since we reached City Hall around 2:00pm, we had hardly time to savor any good food before hitting the seats. Therefore, dearie suggested we grab a munch at Haagen Daz Esplanade before hitting our seats..

Haagen's chocolate cookies' ice cream with macadamia nuts ice cream with 2 cookies crumbs are really awesome!!

See how luxurious the whipped cream, cookies and ice cream combination was!!!

And dearie was kinda impatient to munch it down...

*****

Anyway, Kumar's show really deserved two thumbs-up!!! A totally talented comedian, he really made my day! I was superbly amused by his creativity in the lame jokes he made up (hey, it really takes talent to make up jokes whereby people find it farnie lor! ^^) Kumar blended jokes politically and sensually and from the start whereby he appeared in the auditorium, I was laughing my head off all the way till the end of the show! Sadly, there were never any encores...

Nevertheless, there was a little something; a memorable gift which we collected at the booth after we watched the show...

Hehe.. we took a small brochure as a keepsake for attending the show, and also as a momento to mark my first time to the esplanade... The brochure was really cute, and it also had a part of the biography of Kumar...

Not to mention the credits...

On the other side of the fold-up brochure, there's a picture of his younger self...

And to our very shocking amazement
...........................................

This was found at the other side of the folded page...

(=.="")

Yup, apparently, Okamoto condoms was one of the sponsors... Wow, how surprised I was to actually see a packaged condom with aloe vera content!! Haha.. Very "disturbing" but nice momento..*blushes*

******

We headed down to Orchard - apparently to repair my ipod and I did quite alot of shopping at Mango. As we were both starved, the next stop we headed to was Californian Pizza House...

We ordered peking duck pizza and miso chicken salad... Wow, I was kinda surprised that we could control our drooling in order to take pictures for blogging...

Up-close and personal picture of the pizza itself...

the glorious miso-chicken salad...

I really loved the miso-chicken salad.. It actually comes in 3 different mixture flavours - chicken/prawn and crab i guessed; and the salad itself had a mixture of generous chicken slices, edamame beans, wonton crisps, onions, avocados, carrots and lettuce slices...Mmmmm... The peking duck pizza was also SSUPERBBBBB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmm, it might sound like a weird combination since hardly did I see any peking duck pizza in any pizza lots before, but in Californian Kitchen, there was!!!

As both of us were still thrilled by our Kumar's show, we decided that there would be no movies for the day and we headed back home...

*************

Sunday dearie drove me to Pacific Plaza to repair my DKNY watch and we roamed around far east plaza... Bought a pair of nice flats and had a great munch of chicken with honey flavoured teh-oh! =)

I mentioned to dearie that I had never been to Central@Clarke Quay before and he gladly took me there for dinner. ^^
*smiles*

Gosh, the carpark was terrible since you had to go dunno-how-many-rounds before you reached the carpark if you drove, and my head was spinningzz when we reached the carpark. As usual, dinner wasn't disappointing and this time round, we dined @
Waraku.....

Dearie ordered curry beef udon...

I ordered shell udon (hahaha shell sounded so lame, but sorry I couldn't remember the name of the shell).. Look how steaming hot it was... The noodle looked so smoky that I decided to take it in another angle...

We ordered two other sides besides the udon...

Yaki Bacon with inoki

Barbequed Mentaiko... (my favourite)

We walked around the street of Clarke Quay and dearie bought a chio T-shirt which responded to music grooves (aiyah I forgot to take picture =.=) We lazed around the steps beside the quay awhile, enjoying the night lighting scenery which it had never occurred to me before (whenever I popped by clarke quay to chiong) that it was beautiful.

It was really fun, just lazing around and watching people played the catapult...

Its Fucking Rude to Tag Advertorials..

Before I log off and grab a shower before my lovely sleep, I am kinda fucking pissed off that I decided to write another post!!

I was in awfully good mood just a few minutes ago before I realized that some FUCKING-RUDE people actually advertised in my chatterbox without my consent! Yes... I am truly ANTI-FRIENDLY/KIND to such people.

Well, honestly, either you shoo yourself away without making any comments after reading people's posts, but it is really fucking unkind and inconsiderate to post advertisements --> as in links to "YOUR" blogshop without other people's consents nor knowledge. Indefinitely, your fucking blogshop is going to be condemned by MYSELF and you can forget my friends and I will even to patronize your shop.

Yes of course I am referring to to the link shopptilldawn.weebly.com. I have never encountered such RUDE experience before as in people tagging their advertisement in my chatterbox, not even to ask for any permission. Well firstly, this blog is NOT even a blogshop, therefore I am so pissed off with it! Besides, it would be more considerate if you had asked for people's permissions instead of just dumping a link. I will be kind enough to edit MY template and left your link there.

Anyway, I JUST visited that ugly link and honesly, "SHOP-OWNER YOU CMI (cannot-make-it) lah!" Selling out-dated products least interesting; expecting people to patronise.

Grab a life man!

[movie] The Lovely Bones

The Lovely Bones - - A very intriguing film... I wondered why the show was still not launched in Singapore despite the trailer previewed quite many months ago... I watched the trailer quite some time ago with Jason, while watching other films and this trailer kept previewing before the movie started.

Anyway, I watched the film the other day online, and was deeply moved by it - despite that I don't really like the part about "heaven". It is not really a thriller but instead, more philosophical kinda film, and I really pitied those kids whom were murdered cruelly by the psychopath. In fact, I really hoped that the ending would be the kind that will show the murderer convicted, or either killed by another victim-to-be; with the bodies of Suzie Salmon found, but instead it was kinda ironic, but, honestly, I liked it anyway...

I really can't hardly wait to get the novel, as most novels are much more intriguing than the movie itself - - it tells more detailed stuff which we could not be able to grasp in the movies themselves, just like TWILIGHT!!

Carelessness... I will never do it again.. =(

I was utterly distraught yesterday...
*
*
*
*
*
why?

Haiz, because I spilled my whole water-bottle of Nescafe in my Longchamps bag... The good point is?? ---> Anyone who wanna buy Longchamps bag please go ahead; because the waterproof properties are really wonderful, since not a single trace of the coffee could be found outside of the bag itself!!

Yes, as all would have imagined.......... the mess was in the bag itself!!! My GUCCI collection including everything else is drenched and soaked in the Nescafe. =(   *claps* and the bloody mess took me the whole night to wash up for the whole collection - guessed what i did? I soaked all the stuff in johnson baby body wash solution in a bucket to get rid of the fucking coffee smell and stacked all on a tray to dry out in the room temperature.. Worse of all, MY IPOD lifespan expired because of that, and half-page of all pages of my Charmy Kitty Organiser 2010 were stained; and I could not get a new one because it was long sold-out.

I wept; pondered and stayed up till 0230am yesterday since I could not fall asleep due to this serious stupidity and carelessness of mine... Well, all I could do to console myself was to be optimistic; pondering that it might be a good sign - since new stuff do not come if the old stuff are not gone...

Everything comes with Pros and Cons. Or so? that was what I thought and I converted the BAD BAD thoughts into GOOD thoughts in my head:

 - Thank god that only the casing was soaked but my PSP3000 was not damaged despite my ipod DEAD!!

 - Thank god that I can finally put up my keychain to good use since my GUCCI pouch is still undergoing drying

 - Thank god I have an extra makeup pouch since my GUCCI pouch was also a victim of the coffee scare...

 - Thank god I have extra thumbdrives & extra bags

 - Thank god only the pages of the organizer was damaged and not the photo or the cover (since it was covered with plastic originally)

 - Thank god it was just daily necessities which are damaged and not some important documents...

 - Thank god for giving me a chance to RENEW everything...

But nevertheless, sadly I do NOT have an extra card holder... =( cannot bring along name cards now.. Anyway, since there are so many optimistic PROs, why should I still grumble about the CONs? $$ is never enough, but it can be earned back by hardwork; the same as for the collection I bought and owned for so long...

Glimpse of my temporary-changed-items...

*Key-rings bought previously (years back) in KL since before I started working...

*Gothic Make-up Pouch bought in Iluma Bugis
*Imagine How Spacious It is...!!

  And Last but not least..

I went back to the Kitty Store for the Charmy Organizer but it was SOLD-OUT!!!
