Its been a long long time....

Its been a long long time being away from the blogging world which I had been so obsessed previously. Occasionally, I had wantted to blog, but so often I felt so exhausted after work which I could not push myself to do something which I had pre-loved, and that was -> to blog.

Perhaps it was due to the broken relationship that I stopped blogging, perhaps it was the hectic lifestyle which I had been ongoing, perhaps it was due to my job etc. etc. etc. When I visited Nuffnang awhile ago, I was shocked by the changes they had undergone. It was no longer that familiar layout which I was once so familiar with... I had also visited the bloggers which I had idolised, one of them was XX, and I am really proud of her. She had continued to blog till today - a whipping 10 years blog! Never once had she stopped her blogging, and it was really amazing.

I felt ashamed should I be comparing my blog to hers, all ended down to one four-letter word - I am too LAZY. Hmm... I would try to continue blogging like this, but seriously, I hope I can sustain. Else, it would be another post after months and months...

I just could not understand why I am unable to commit to myself and have more determination in doing stuff. Spending weekends doing nothing but dozing off naps after naps although keeping late nights into wee hours of the morning.

Hmm... guess that I should turn in for now.

Shop with an attitude...

I had a most unpleasant shopping experience at The Face Shop recently when I patronized the shop when I caught eye of their nail polish.

I used to awe The Face Shop at their awesome products and display concept which portrayed a clean image of skincare products featuring aspiring Korean Star Celebrities, however, this fucked-up shopping experience made me think otherwise...

In The Past:
- The Face Shop sold many cool skincare products range which proved to be efficient yet worth the value for money and their range of products were neither too sticky nor oily for the average skin.

- When you shopped over a certain value, they offered you cute little VIP cards which allowed future shopping discount of 10% (come to think about it, it is really miserable though.) and it came in the form of 2 VIP cards - which allowed any other family member to use the card in their future shopping trips as well....

BUT NOW,

What happened to the cool shop and their sales concept?

To summarize all in short,

The Face Shop is
FUCKED-UP.

Honestly, I could not think of any other better term to summarize it.
Because this is what their present image portrayed!!

Why is it so? I can give a thousand reasons for it...

The Present Face Shop:
- The Face Shop doesn't evolve. Besides the All-Time Favourite products, their other products does not proved to be effective, and their cool innovation is to change their packaging... Yes, they do not launch new products, yet those un-awesome products are re-packaged with other forms of packaging.

- From the minute you stepped into The Face Shop when their staff greeted you, you do not get an awesome shopping experience, but only cold-hard sales tactics which their staff have equipped, trying to push you to buy anything - yes, anything which they promote to you! How fucked up is that? They can approach you one minute and promote anything which they "want" to promote to you and push you to buy, and that is nothing which you needed in the first place! The worst is, yes, you can never shop in peace when you browse their products, because the minute you have any product in hand, instead of explaining anything to you, they start to flaunt their "promotion" tactics...
- How cool is it to stick a scotch-tape on your skin and try out their lovely nail polish? I personally feel it is retarded to stick a tape on my skin to try out any colors which I have set my eyes on?! Yes, that is how retarded their sales assistant approaches you when you browse their nail polish. Is Face Shop so poor they couldn't offer some nail polish remover to you - to remove off any nail polish which you tried on? Well, I guessed that is another of their clever sales tactic to "keep yourself busy" when you choose the nail polish and try-it-yourself when they eye on another "big fish" which can fall for their lousy sales tactics.

 - The fucking long queue which you have to endure even when you are only purchasing one product and there are only 3 customers queuing up before you. Oh gosh (you might have exclaimed) because they cannot even serve 3 customers of their purchases despite there are only 3?!!! I cannot imagine what will happen if the staff of Takashimaya did the same when they have so many customers in the queue.... As much of you might have guessed, yup, it all comes down to be their sales assistants flaunting their sales tactics!! Yup, even till the end, when you came down to purchase only what  you need, they just cant stop promoting until you leave the store. Because when you are trying to make the purchase, they come to the next stage of "if you purchase this with blah blah blah you will get how many % off and they start to show you how many "cents" yup, just a few 2-3 dollars or cents more you can save when you buy "this" with "that"... Sigh, in short, they just want you to buy lah! - And when you kept rejecting, they just continued to push as if the queue wasn't there, and when you are firm enough to keep your stand, they just "lan lan" and accept your purchase while they tried the sweet approach of apologising to the customer behind in the queue before they start the same round of approach again...

Yes, that is really hideous because you cannot pay in peace as they need to do this "promoting" story-telling for one whole round before you can even try to pay and all you can do is "MUST LISTENING VERY ATTENTIVELY and wait (your precious time will be all gone) before you can get what you wanted.

- Another fucked-up theory is who cares about the so-called membership? Yes, although you get 10% discount when you shop, so what? I don't care for the 10% - if you know mathematics, you can only see big discount off the 10% when you purchase a $100 since 10% is only 10bucks! Meaning to say you need to endure all the crap before you can get the few-cents discount off your product! Yeap, another time-consuming in all. Furthermore, there are never any promotions for members only for The Face Shop. They do not send you brochures / newsletter etc. and I can see that they save quite alot in that. Secondly, they do not even bother to check your member card! That was what happened when I made my purchase and was digging my card holder to look for the fucked up miserably small card which was nowhere to be found. The sales assistant was going on and on while I was digging miserably and finally she noticed, and her reaction was (before I fished out my card) and she saw the small card, she said okay you got discount and she just continued; I just wondered was she dumb and all because she pitied on my rummage for card? - I guessed she was blind because I had so much stuff on hands... What is the point of being a member with zero exclusives and only saving a few cents despite their promoters psycho-ing you to spend more? Pathetic treats for the members and they just give any tom dick harry membership when they have the spending power of more than $150? That's cheapo!

NO member exclusives, poor product knowledge and poor PR skills with lots of bugging and intentional promotion of unwanted products, that is definitely negative no matter in which aspect I have viewed of the shop. 10 thumbs-down is never enough of how the shop and its sales culture reflected, I definitely wouldn't want to patronize again, and seriously, I wondered what is the shop owner thinking when the competition of skincare is so competitively high now in the market? They do not even give any samples but only testers which anybody and everybody tries on the same bottle... Honestly I wonder whether they did the same for the outlets in Korea and how anybody can actually tolerate such hardcore sales...

Apart from the poor shopping experience, I would rather give an average for their products range because you can get almost similarly same products qualities from any brand from Watsons and definitely, you can have the peace of mind to browse them as and when from brand to brand in peace. Besides, shopping at Watsons (with the watsons card) entitles points to be accumulated which can be cash back in future purchases + members special discount, how cool is that? Else, you can browse better skincare range in Takashimaya, Isetan etc whereby honestly, their sales assistants do not bug you as much like this idiots do...

In all, definitely, there wouldn't be another shopping patronage to The Face Shop anymore.

Johnny Martin Dresses

Bought two lovely dresses online from Johnny Martin...

Had really loved this pink dress as
I was scouting for nice yet simple dresses...
It caught my eye simply because of two reasons
1) short cocktail dress
2) its of Pink and Black - two of my favorite colors!!!

The second dress which caught my eye was
this cool grey metallic short bubble-hem dress...
Just a touch of feminine
with its naughtiness..

These dresses have arrived earlier a couple of weeks ago
despite that I had actually ordered them
for cousin's wedding held in mid November..

Nevertheless, due to my tight schedule and could not decide
which did not allow me to decide which dress
I should wear to Dearie's friend's wedding,
I chose the pink one...
- partly it was feminine and not too formal... :)

Yet it did not failed me...
Had matched it with a short rabbit fur camisole...
(accessories: Tiffany & Co Lock Necklace / Marc by Marc Jacobs Bracelet)

Much to my surprise,
the fabric is really soft and comfy, and
it does not crumple up easily
(despite I had just squeezed it and dumped it inside my bag)
due to the rush...

I am glad that I have chosen this...

Last but not least,
Happy Marriage to Terence and Fanny..
Million Blessings...

First and Last?

I had always wanted to get a pair of loafers a couple of years back but never had the chance to come across anything which I like especially when visiting stores... Neither were loafers popular or commonly available in stores.

The chance finally came when I visited an online store Reebonz  which actually offers authentic branded goods at a discounted price. Despite the doubts of whether I will manage to get the size which I wanted, without hesitation, I grabbed this pair of TODS as they seemed so comfy and lasting.

Well, indeed - although it was kinda an impulsive indulge and (honestly, they are not quite cheap), I bought them. Luckily, they serve the purpose.. and well enough, really comfortable and definitely I have no regrets buying them.

Come to think of it now, after several weeks of wearing them, the first or last? I would say first pair of such high end shoes, but with the standards of such shoes, it may not be the last pair which I will buy...

Refreshed...

This blog was left empty for almost a year ever since I stopped blogging in here since late 2010. Nevertheless, it did not cool my passion for blogging and in fact, I could not stop thinking about it. Although I did set up a new webpage dedicated for my liking of One Piece (anime), however, it seemed that this parent blog is really what I shoudl be maintaining, as all entries are treasure - priceless to me...

Therefore, I tried combining the entries posted previously in reii-anisekai, and test out whether it can be more manageable here... Well, gotta give it a miss today as its already "tomorrow"...

My One Piece Craze

Hello readers,

I am back... however, I apologize for the lack of pictures and photographs
mentioning my craziness collection of One Piece toys.

It is kinda sad for me to slow down so much
despite I am continuing buying away~

ROARZ!

The reason WHY>
is because I ran out of space
(my usual table top on-top of my chest of drawers)
and finally,
with the help of a dear friend (ex-colleague)

=)

I bought some shelves at IKEA! and finally recently (just a couple of days back),
another dear friend helped me
to assemble them together.

Therefore,
Currently I'm packing a little everyday.

Oh yes...
to reveal my craziness of animes
especially
ONE PIECE,

I have yet created a new blog

Why Reii-anisekai?
It means REii (my site's title)
ani = anime in short form
sekai = world!
^^
Anyway,
I really hope that you avid readers out there
will continue to support me a little ^^
i understand that despite you all want more information,
please be patient as i really have very little time..
=(

and since reiianisekai is new,
i pressume i need to update it more often,
despite some updates of my shopping sprees for one piece
may also be found here...

I just thought that it might be cool to have dedication over my favourite stuff and
only to that favourite stuff.

Cheers!

X'mas is coming...
p/s: I wish Santa will just stuff all limited edition One Piece toys through my windows,
doors, and any holes which is able to stuff any.
*bleah*

awful ponders...

I seriously hate hypocrites - especially those who loved to act innocent and try to dig every single bit of secret out of you; and they can just put up a false plastic front interacting. I could not but to admire their cleverness with which they put so much effort in concealing their thoughts...

Well, anyway, recently I have been getting comments like -
"why is your boyfriend shorter than you?"

Honestly, I am not angry,
but I'm kinda irritated because these comments came from friends
- close friends whom know me well.

Seriously, dearie isn't that short,
he is just a few centimeters shorter than me..
and we are of almost the same height when I'm without heels.
And, to those who are so concerned of why I chose him despite the "height" issue,
~I haven't been going around questioning them back
like
~"why are you dating a guy you've barely known for 3 days?"
~"why do you decide to marry a guy who seems going to become bald soon?"
***etc etc etc***

I might not know whether he will still be that eligible in future
(which we are unable to foresee)
nonetheless, he seems perfect for now...
well...
we really have much in common!!

And,
the next time if you're gonna ask again
"why I chose a boyfriend shorter than myself"

*...Ask yourself...*

I'm gonna tell ya why why why...
(1) i have known dearie since the poly days... we used to be "brothers" and the bestest of friends...(and unlike to know him barely 3 days; we were classmates for 3 damn long years; c'mon we dated only 3 years later after we graduated.

(2) "he's qualified..." although he does not own any doctorate nor super honours degree... he's capable with a stable job and financially able to survive in such a harsh environment...

(3) "understanding and tolerant"... and that's my baby; he's definitely not violent...

(4) "we've too much in common and too similar in personality"... to summarise that - he understands me the most - we're almost like reflections..

(5) last but not the least - we share common interests!!!! for example - he loves Kamen Rider while i love One Piece; what else is better than that?

Despite dearie's weird eating habits
(allergic to seafood)
- which is perfect since I get to eat every single bit of seafood which he surrenders to me...
the height issue seemed to be hidden.

And if you might be curious why I had written this post,
well,
haha...
be tolerant,
because i just have the inspirations to blog this...
that's about it.

Masking...

Totally un-blogged the past 3 months since my last post on the 30th August,
and now my friends are quitting blog.
Naa.. should have described as
QUIT
blogging.

The past months are fun-filled and thoroughly awesome with surprises...
Kinda hard to be summarized.

My One Piece journey still continues;
and I still shopped for toys no doubt...

Masked myself earlier (around 1030hours) with my beloved
"Seikisho Mask White"

Had been using this since I was seventeen...
and still,
It had remained my favourite amongst all.
Loves.

Joke of The Day - Super Funny News from Singapore Teletext [REAL]

i was browsing my phone to clear some images when i happened to find these super interestingly funny articles posted by Singapore Teletext which i had asked dearie's father to forward them to me as apparently he had found them while he was reading the news unexpectedly from Singapore Teletext. Honestly, with such advancing technology, i supposed that such articles should NOT have happened since they should take the efforts of removing them instead of leaving them on the text. Anyway it was posted on the 26th June 2010. i suppose none of us ever view Teletext's news nowadays since the news are so commonly available from the internet.

Anyway, i hope that all can enjoy the laughter! If you are lazy to enlarge the image, i have also blogged them (together with the mistakes) in my entry below. Well, enough said; please scroll down for the laughter!

NEWS 01

"The PUB has stepped up efforts to prevent massive future floods, following the massive flooding on Orchard Road. It are (grammatically incorrect!) the most open to the idea of online matchmaking and dating (what has this crap got to do with the flooding?!).

And according to a survey by dating (i didn't know that dating agencies offered such surveys) surfaced that trapped debris at a culvert had caused floodwater to overflow onto Orchard Road last week. It is (grammatically incorrect!) installing zig zag gratings to try an online matchmaking agency (i supposed the gratings are an effort for the flood?!).

41% have used online dating compared to 26% last year. Camp Rd, Nassim Rd and behind Tanglin Shopping Center. (LOL! "camp", "nassim" and "tanglin" are part of the 46% whom USED online dating!!! What a joke!)

NEWS 02

SINGAPORE: A regional dating survey of singles in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong has found that Singaporeans 12-and-a-half years, and 17 strokes of the cane (haha, the dating survey showed Singaporeans of A SENTENCE).
And according to a survey by dating agency, Lunch Actually, more Singaporeans are looking for a life partner this way, 85% of 630 singles in Singapore polled were willing to sell contraband cigarettes (WOW, "Lunch" actually found 85% x 630 which is = 535.5 Singaporean singles ARE WILLING TO SELL CONTRABAND CIGARETTES!! OMG!). He was nabbed at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Avenue 8 after officers to 26% last year (this totally doesn't make any sense at all).

NEWS 03
SINGAPORE:  An unemployed man who was convicted of being in possession of a pistol was sentenced to a jail term of Singapore. The new clinical Research WSQ Certified training courses will cover skills areas such as research methodology and ethics, good clinical ammunition when he was arrested by Singapore Customs officers on July 27 last year. (Did he actually signed up for the WSQ training before he tried out the "mastered skills" to possess the pistol?!) He was then making a run to The industry has also come together to form a Clinical Research Consortium to cohesively look into building the manpower capability needed to support CNA.(totally absurd!)

Anyway, i hoped you all enjoyed the joke,
and "3-CHEERS" to Singapore Teletext,
who had made the
JOKE OF THE DAY!

Bintan Day 2 (Bintan Holiday 23.06.2010 - 25.06.2010)

Its been a very long time ever since I've updated about my Bintan holiday details with dearie since my Bintan Day 1 post. I could still recall my "Day 1" holiday was posted somewhere in early July. Despite that I am currently not working (and had so much free time) yet I was still so busy. Indeed, the whole one month was precious moments spent with dearie (he purposely took 1-week leave to accompany me) and we were both sooooo obsessed with catching plushies (ufo-catching).

Well anyway, I would like to continue and blog about Bintan Day 2 & 3 as they were really lovely memories I've had spent.
**********

Yay!! Day 2 wasn't as bad as much expected. After Day 1's heavy downpours, we had predicted the next day as much similar as it was compared to Day 1's... After all, the climate had changed and apparently Day 1 had been a day of mostly indoor activities...

Fortunately, the weather was just fine - sunny and breezy with shades of gleaming sunlight...Since our holiday booking included some activities (different activities such as horse-riding/elephant riding/archery/banana-boat etc etc.); we decided to head ourselves to the Leisure Center after we had our breakfast... It would be a waste if we were to slack indoors...

A 5-minute walk away from the hotel lobby, Nirwana's Leisure Center is packed with lots of fun-filled activities... There is a trampoline for children (at the left), air-rifle shooting (at the right), resting area (center), horse riding (further right), elephant park (further left), bicycle and scooter rental (further center), beach (furthest end).

We decided to explore around the area before we decide on the activities... Anyway, my initial reaction was to "HEAD TOWARDS THE HORSES!!!" Well, I could actually hear them neighing in the distance, and I got so pumped-up because the very last time I had actually seen a horse was during my primary school days whereby teachers brought us for school excursions (and erhem - ages since I've been to the zoo and I had never seen a horse since...)
We took some pictures.

(they even had a horse carriage)

(is this supposed to be a stallion?!)

(this chap kept moving
and
I was so afraid that it might just turned over and chew my finger off...
so I kept my distance...)

(managed to get a little closer! with the trainer around)

*****

Anyway it was kinda HOT and HUMID and neither dearie and I were quite interested in horse-riding (for 1 round) since we both preferred more ACTION-PACKED activities and eventually we chose ARCHERY and AIR-RIFLE!!! ^^ As much of you might have guessed, these activities were both my first tries... We undergo some briefing and demonstrations from their instructors and off to our tries...

I was simply mesmerized with Legolas (from the Lord of The Rings) but nevertheless, (trust me), ARCHERY IS DEFINITELY NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMED!!!!! Despite that we had only around 30 arrows, our hands ached really hell lotss!!!

(Yay! Managed to grab some Bull's Eyes and finally ZERO arrows!)
=D

We never took any pictures while shooting the air-rifles because the stupid rifles are too heavy! I wonder how much heavier an actual rifle really is!!

To all snipers out there... CLAPS!! --> I salute you all!!

As we were walking back towards the hotel lobby, dearie suddenly grew excited when he saw the "Flying Fox"... (=.=") and as you all knew that I had phobia of vertical heights, I was dragged along with him. Flashbacks of the time when I rode Sunway's roller coaster (it was really memorable because it was the first time i rode one and i cried like hell) flashed into my head once more... Haiz, I grabbed much of courage and decided not to disappoint dearie since he kinda "psychoed" me and was soooooo enthusiastic about it...

(a faint cheeky smile but inside praying NOT to cry again)

(I'm still halfway through...
dearie was already at its peak and I tell you
- the steps are fucking tall and difficult to climb lor!
Worst Part - the steps and decks are "see-through)

(finally at the TOP! i'm FEAR-stricken as written on my face
- my fists were tightly-clenched around the railings and they never left once I reached the TOP!)

This was a picture of where I was standing. Can you see "me" in the middle? Imagine they are actually building another higher version of the "Flying-Fox" right at the top!!! Wtf! This picture was actually taken by dearie since he had already "flown" and my camera was kept with him... Honestly at that point of time,
I CHICKENED OUT!!!!
The instructor kept cheering me on and tried to calm me down, but I really felt faint and didn't want to continue anymore... I am seriously NOT the daring kind and well, this was my worst phobia..

Nonetheless, there was this thought in my head...
"DIE DIE LAH... JUST JUMP"
and "strangely",
I did.

(all happened so fast and i never had time to comprehend)
but this time,
NO TEARS!!!
*APPLAUSE*

It was so fun I actually intended to try a second time, but we never did because it was kinda "ex". We headed back to the hotel lobby to make scooter rental to roam around the rest of the areas of the resort. The amazing part of Nirwana Gardens was that they actually had a mini zoo in their resorts itself!!! - From snakes, crocodiles, terrapins, parrots, vultures, fishes etc...

(their terrapins unlike sg, they are BIG!)

(our first time seeing a vulture?!
- dearie was so happy he saw one -
just grabbed my cam and snapped)

(parrot or cockatoo? i couldn't remember...)

The electronic scooters were really convenient since the resorts' area was really huge... further down away from the zoo were the "kampong-styled stand-alone nirwana chalets... Apart from the fucking FAR distance, it is very quiet and peaceful and they even had spray fountains...

(stylo?)

Further down away from the hotel, zoo and kampong-styled resorts was the waster sports center and beach (for water sports). Anyway, I hated this fucking beach cuz' there were really a hell lot of sand-flies and i was bitten tragically! Furthermore, the beach seemed much dirtier and cumulonimbus clouds were seen forming in the distance - a slight drizzle started..

Much added to the sand-flies, we had already traveled for 1-hour and our scooter rental was up. Despite the slight drizzle, we continued to explore the beach (but this time round, it was the beach outside the hotel area). I strongly agreed that this beach is much more cleaner lor... We picked seashells, saw a hermit crab *kawaii!!!*, went for a swim in the pool, slacked at poolside cafe before we headed back to shower and also to hide from the rain.
(ps: please do NOT swim when you see lightning!!!)

See?!
(dearie looking for seashells...)

(Titled: Corals and Shells
-dearie's artwork-
we kept some of the seashells...)

(lovely sea...)

(small but mighty!)

(back to the ocean little one~)

Evening at Bintan was quite different from Singapore since their time is delayed by an hour. Therefore, 7pm skies are really dark! We saw advertisement of the "RIN" restaurant - a japanese restaurant by the seaside and we checked it out. Well, I had never been to a seaside restaurant in Singapore once and it was really a great opportunity!

(pardon my cam's nightshot - could not see the background)

(
(my favourite - chawanmushi)

(beef tempura)

(grilled gindara aka codfish)

(grilled salmon)

And dinner was spiced up with the dishes plus two bowls of garlic fried rice....
Mmmmm....
DELICIOUS!!!

Our moods are also dampened quite a bit as we headed back to our hotel room because we would be heading back to Singapore the very next evening... ;(
Dinner ended around 11:00 (sg time) and along the way we headed back to our room, we managed to take a glimpse of 2 sleepy iguanas - (adopted and breed by Nirwana)

(Yawns.. watching them sleep made us sleepy..)
